The Planning Process

The first step to planning an event is determining its purpose. Whether it is for a wedding, company, birthday, festival, graduation or any other event, appropriate planning is required. From this, the event planner needs to choose entertainment, location, guest list, speakers, and content. The location for events is endless, but with event planning they would likely be held at hotels, convention centers, reception halls, churches, or in the outdoors depending on the event.

Once the location is set, the coordinator/planner needs to prepare the event with staff, set up the entertainment, and keep contact with you, the Client. After all this is set, the event planner has all the smaller details to address like set up of the event such as food, drinks, music, guest list, budget, advertising and marketing, decorations, etc. All of this preparation is what is needed for an event to run smoothly. An event planner needs to be able to manage their time and the length of preparation needed wisely for each event to be a success.

At Columbia River Entertainment, we are prepared to sit down with you in a comfortable, casual setting and go through our time-tested checklist to help you prepare for the big event. From this checklist, we can gather the resources and materials you need to provide a successful event. On our initial visit, after we see what you are wanting to achieve, we will give you a free proposal for the price of our services. You will find our rates very affordable and reasonable, but they vary depending on the type and size of the event and the resources you require for your event.
